A Jurassic love song - reconstructed from the wings of a fossil katydid

his video accompanied the paper 'Wing stridulation in a Jurassic katydid (Insecta, Orthoptera) produced low-pitched musical calls to attract females', published in PNAS (2011). http://www.pnas.org/content/early/2012/02/02/1118372109

Description from the paper: "At dusk, A. musicus sings in a Jurassic forest of Northwest China. The forest grew under humid conditions, probably close to the banks of a river and consisted primarily of conifers and ferns. The song was processed to take into account slight echoes produced by the lightly cluttered environment."

The video may be reused for educational purposes. From the PNAS open access policy (http://www.pnas.org/content/101/23/8509.full): "Anyone may reuse original figures and tables published in PNAS for educational purposes without having to request permission."

Atlantis found

There is a NGC National Geographic Channel vid on it, like there''s one on Nostradamus and Mayan Propehcy, both believed history would repeat itself.
So no end of the world, just a new beginning.
Mayans believen Dec 21,2012, after 26.000 year our solar system would line up once again with
the axis of the milky way. (Have to look into that!)

National Geographic - Finding Atlantis - March 2011 - 1/4

But what about the ancients "Atlantis", the source of all flood stories?

tartessos-tarshish

Tarshish was mentioned in several books of the bible. It was mentioned either as a state or a landscape (Gen. 10.4; 1 Chr. 1.7; 2 Chr. 9.21; 20.36-37; Ps. 72.10; Isa. 23.6; 23.10; 66.19; Jer. 10.9; Ezek. 27.12; 38.13; Jon. 1.3; 4.2). A special kind of trade ship was named after Tarshish (1 Kgs. 10.22; 22.49; Ps. 48.8; Isa. 2.16; 23.1; 23.14; 60.9; Ezek. 27.25). Moreover a jewel (Exod. 28.20; 39.13) and persons (1 Chr. 7.10; Est. 1.14) were named after Tarshish.

The state of Tarshish was mentioned by inscriptions of the Assyrian king Asarhaddon of the 7th century BC and by the phoenician Nora stone in Sardinia from around 800 BC. Tarshish has often been identified with Tartessos. Both Tartessos (Herodotus 4.152; Diodorus 5.35.4) and Tarshish (1 Kgs. 10.22; 2 Chr. 9.21; Isa. 60.9; Jer. 10.9; Ezek. 27.12) were rich in silver. Both Tartessos (Diodorus 5.35.4) and Tarshish (1 Kgs. 10.22; 2 Chr. 9.21; Ezek. 27.12) traded with the Phoenicians.

Goddess / Woman were first, not men
« on: August 07, 2011, 12:20:14 PM »
Eva (german)was and should be the first, men are born as women!

Frauenartz Berlin

Why do men have nipples? Because women have! Up till 7 weeks every embryo is FEMALE, then  hormones change a couple of them to men.
So forget all those tales of women are made from men, men are, and made, and born from and as WOMEN!

And see the differences between the species (or not)

So you think muslim men keep their hands from muslim women?
Forget it. harassmap org proves it.

Eighty-three percent of muslimwomen surveyed, and 98 percent of foreign women, said they had experienced harassment.
The abuse, which takes place regardless of what a woman is wearing, ranges from catcalls, stares, and comments on the street to molesting, groping, indecent exposure, and assault.
